First Annual Charity Washer Toss Tournament

The First Congregational Church 2022 Washer Toss Charity Tournament is coming Saturday, September 10th!

We will be hosting our First Annual Charity Washer Toss Tournament on Saturday, September 10th, in conjunction with Geneva’s annual Festival of the Vine.  The event will feature two different partners, single elimination (winners and losers brackets) tournaments, one for beginners, with larger scoring areas, and one for more advanced players with traditional boxes and rally scoring.  

All proceeds from the tournament will go to Lazarus House Homeless Shelter in St. Charles, IL.  Since 1997, Lazarus House has been offering tools for life – food,

safe shelter, education and hope – to folks in our Fox Valley communities who are homeless or in need.  On average it costs about $145 a day to feed and shelter someone when they are down on their luck; we hope to raise enough to cover food and shelter for a week ($1,015). 

The cost to enter the tournament is $30 per team.  A hot dog, chips and beverage for each team member are included in the entry fee.  Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase during the tournament.  We will also have free corn hole games for the kids, a 50/50 raffle, and a cups game (for tournament participants).  Registration opens at 2:00pm, tournament play starts at 2:30pm; practice from 2:00 to 2:30.
