With Americans itching to take a vacation amid the pandemic, Airbnb has the perfect socially-distanced getaway: a cabin on 5,850 acres in Montana.
The home share site is offering two lucky guests the chance to stay at the Big Sky Resort, which would make them the only inhabitants of the majestic Andesite Mountain in Big Sky, Montana.
According to the exclusive listing, “guests will have exclusive access to 5,850 acres of pristine terrain and can partake in any activity their adventurous heart’s desire — whether its exploring 50 miles of hiking and biking trails or riding a tram up over 11,000 feet above sea level to the summit of Lone Peak.”
The one bedroom, one-bath residence isn’t the biggest listing on Airbnb by far, but it’s safe to say it’s got the largest yard: unspoiled terrain and views of two national parks and three different states, not to mention “the ultimate viewing spot for the 2021 Draconids meteor shower that peaks October 8.
Suffice it to say, it’s the ideal place for social distancing. Oh, and it’s only $88 a night.
Booking opens at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, May 13 for a two-night stay from Thursday, October 7 to Saturday, October 9.
Airbnb notes that its guests’ wish lists have been teeming with keywords like “mountain,” “rural,” and “hiking” in the past year: such searches jumped nearly 70%.
